Title: glovebox doors
Post by: roady on April 19, 2009, 04:32:36 PM
Hey Guys,

How does your glovebox doors fit? Mine seem to be out of adjustment. I am not sure if there is even  an adjustment for them. It is kind of hard to explain but the vertical part of my doors are actually hitting and rubbing on the fairing. The top side of door doesnt seem to sit on top of the rubber stops very well at all. Has anyone had any luck adjusting them one way or the other.

Thanks for any replies.

I'd be interested as well. seems to be a design flaw, that has been going on for some time.

I took care of this problem with 3M body Scotchcal body protective tape part#84904. It is not detectable and you can cut thin strips and apply them where the door edges meet the fairing to protect the paint. I also put a 3/4 inch strip at the top so the paint does not scratch from opening. check with any 3M distibutor at any automotive supplier. :2vrolijk_21:
