the solo seat is the signature series, P/N 51700-09 fits 08 and later touring. it comes with its own removable backrest. i ended up making a sliding mount for the tour pack so that i could slide it foward to fit me better.

This setup utilises the stock SE windshield gasket and they have added spacers to fill in the holes in the gasket. giving a flush look. the actual shape accrost the bottom is different than any other roadglide. apparently this new fairing is whats to come as the standard fairing in 2010. Im not sure if your trim kit will work or not. the holes are in the same location.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm not gonna order the windshield trim yet. I wanna be a little more sure before I spend the $140...

Depends on the pictures I am see, some times they look like dome, and others Euro.

FLSTFI, I tried a KW, and a Clear View, the Klock Werks was junk the clearview was quality but I did not like the look, I purchased a new shield from an 09 standard roadglide for $36.50, it fits with the CVO Rubber Seal and wind protection is very good, IMHO the windshield has far less to do with buffeting then it appears, when I installed a set of hard lowers ,the turbulance stopped almost completely.

The CW windshield is the dome. they decided not to make a euro because it looked like chit. As far as price goes the stock one costs over $200 and is worthless to me. The KW cost a buck and a quarter and fits like chit, not only that I got whistling in my ears from the wind and the optics looking down thru the windshield were terrible. I am not familiar with the CV winshield. Joe from CB came and installed the (hopefully) final version of the CB winshield this morning. The optics are great, the quality is great if you get the Lt grey it is DOT approved. All the prototypes I have ridden with have worked great to drastically cut down and almost eliminate all buffeting.
I would recomend this windshield over the KW or stock any day.

The trim piece from HD will not work with the Cee Bailys shields angle is way differant than stock. It has been tryed and failed.  Doc

This forum just saved me $140 on trim... which is a good thing since, despite my whining, I'm probably gonna lay down $250 for the CB shield... also because of this forum, LOL!

Pick the right hieght for yourself and you will be very happy with the CB shield.  Doc

I ordered the 14" dark tint. I'm 5' 10", but I'm long-waisted, so I ride more like a guy who's 6'0". Somebody -- was it you? -- said CB will cut one down if it's too tall. I figured that was better than ordering the shorter size and then realizing I needed the taller shield. Can't really add it back on, can you?

Oh please dont tell me this, son of a b. I took the trim of last night, I dont see any gap in the KW that i hear about. But to not be able to use the HD trim is BS. Plus I still don't have my CB shield yet was told it was shipping the beginning of last week.
