I got a flat in an almost new tire and now I must replace ,grrrrr. I called around and no one has or can find the Dunlop 190/55/18 I have on my SERG. Has anyone had to replace their rear tire yet and if so with what? Thanks for the help

The problem you may be having is that it's a 180/55/18 not a 190.

ride with a plug.... .....not for long, a hot patch from the inside is better.

but for a mere couple of hundred you can have peace of mind.

i went with avon radials.

I have bought most of my past tires from AMT. Seems the shipping was reasonable .....

A local repair shop, in my area, will give a considerable discount; if, he purchases the tire and does the work. Just an idea..

The problem you may be having is that it's a 180/55/18 not a 190.

Thanks UFO HOG, You are correct on the size. I checked it last night, in a dark garage with a near dead flashlight and no glasses. If you hadn't mentioned it I'd still be looking for the wrong tire.

Brian-what are you going to do-Dumflap or Avon?  I liked the Avon's on the Duece and Dyna, will probably go with them when I need them for the 'Glide.

Im going to stay with the Dunflops, I really like this new tire. got over 7k on it now and looks like Ill get several more. checked with my stealer and he quoted 330.00 installed for the rear

Just be aware that the brand new 09 D407 tires have already been discontinued.  You need to look for a D408 180/55/18.  There were tread wear problems.  Tires are cupping.

After shopping around several local dealer, even non HD, the only available tire I could find was the Dunlop D407. I took the wheel into the shop and the final cost, installed on the rim, was $315. I was expecting to pay more but I can live that.
I did ask about the D408 and I got the same blank look I got when I asked about the replacement seat.
