There will be a billion rumors and thousands of stories shared in hushed whispers by those that "know someone."  Some color charts might actually hit a dealership and get posted; that does happen.  But until actual docs like that get posted or the specs get posted to California's CARB website it's all just BS from folks who want to know more than they really do or who like to be perceived as doing so.

That's where the pool boy has been so beneficial around here for many years.  This was Willie G's nephew's sister's girlfriend's nanny's best friend's brother's neighbor's pool boy who, because of that close relationship, had all the dope.  I mean everything.  If the pool boy reported it here you could take it as gospel truth.    Sadly, however, he died.

Yup, Color books hit the dealers sometime in April for the last several years.  This year was no different.

Until a few years ago, they would post CARB sheets a few months before the summer dealer meeting.  That meeting would be scheduled between late June and Sturgis.  Now, the dealer meeting seems to be the third week of August, and the CARB sheets are only posted about a month in advance.  For some reason, they like to keep the fact that nothing changes a giant secret.

They don't do a great job of it, IF you know who to listen to.  A lot of guys speculate, but some share.  The key is to know the difference.

I saw those over there too. It didn't have CVO colors though. I don't think those are released publicly until the dealer meeting.

Or 2019. They have been waiting for the year after anniversaries to do major changes. But with sales down who knows. Same old tired subject. Colors released early and wait for the rest.

Rumors are already "floating" on the internet of the 2017 H-D.  There is even a thread here with the "Milwaukee Eight".  We will just have to wait.
