Was the 102nd anniversary of Glen Curtiss setting an unoffical record of 137 miles per hour on a Curtiss V8 motorcyle.

Cool info, and to think there was some grumbling about riding with exessive speed here yesterday. Imagine riding that at 137mph  :vrolijk27:

The V-8 was used in the Curtiss Jenny airplane of the day.  They had the motor mounted just like this bike with the cylinders sticking out of the cowling.

I had a RC model of one of these biplanes in my younger previous life days.  It flew very well.

I'd love to see that bike run, looks thin I'll bet it would torque all over the place if twisted hard, Looks like FUN!!
