AAA.Com, RandMcNally.Com or ????
« on: March 07, 2010, 07:15:30 PM »

Most of the time I use AAA.COM to map out trips, sometimes RandMcnally.com.  I usually go to Rand when I'm looking for hotels in any given city/small town since AAA only lists their approved hotels, which can sometimes leave you with extremely limited selections.  Wondering what anyone else likes most and maybe I'm overlooking a better service.

I also use Microsoft Streets & Trips combined with:
  http://www.freetrip.com/

  And, this:

Several years ago my truck-driving neighbor in Las Vegas gave me the link above.  It has proved valuable many times, especially when traveling late at night, since most truck stops are open 24/7.

Be safe. Ride often,

Streets and trips.  The 2010 version  allows you to send the GPX files to your Garmin (if you have one).  Also, Streets and Trips allows you to setup stops and time to stop along the way.  Makes for planning the trip very nice.

I'm a truck driver and have used Microsoft's Streets & Maps for several years, very accurate and the mileage is within 1-2%.  :2vrolijk_21:
