Rider backrest
« on: October 10, 2010, 07:37:21 PM »

I moved the rider backrest mount to its foremost position on my new RUSE but it is still a little too far back for me.  I'm thinking that since it mounts to the fender and the fender is curved that maybe putting a shim under the mount where it bolts to the fender would force the backrest a little forward.  Anyone else done this and have any results to report?

being vertically challengned 5'8" on SEUC i took an had 3" added to the uprights which moved the backrest forward enough for me.

It might be easier, to buy a set of touring handlebars, or do as I did,,, just have someone (Hawg Halters) make you a custom set of handlebars.

I found, the more I moved the back rest up the less seat I had to sit on, then your butt starts to hurt.

I have seen rear fenders bend under the back rest but I think its because the front mount was not attached.
