Brian 103tHunDer 110tHunDer gave me this bell when I bought my 04.  I transfered it to my 07 and it's now on my 11.  I didn't realize what bad shape it was in until I was doing a little cleaning.  Looks like it gets caught between the pavement and floor board bracket or maybe frame.

Am I going to get a new one?  Hell no!

That bell appears to have been in many battles with road gremlins and may I say it has a lot of character which makes it irreplaceable.

Reading this just reminded me to call Paul @ Steve Drane to take the one off of the '08 that they picked up from my garage on Friday. So far, it has worked very well!

A friend gave me mine, I sold my 06 street glide to an independent dealer from SC  and forgot to take it off , I panicked ,called him and he was nice enough to mail it back to me , Cool Guy now it's on my 2010 sesg :2vrolijk_21:

I have read about the bell and have never seen an answer to my situation.  My bell was a gift and after about two years of serious fights with gremlins, the loop at the top of it broke.  It can't be fastened to the cycle now so it now rides in the tour pack.  I didn't expect my friend to buy me another one so I bought an identical replacement and hung it in the same place as the original.  I'm hoping that with the original still on the bike, the surrogate will continue to work like the original.???

"Ride Bells

The little iron bell that hangs from a biker's motorcycle is supposed to ward off evil spirits. As the story suggests, these demons exist on all roadways, and when a motorcycle passes by, they grab on to it and begin chipping away at your good luck until finally you have a crash.

The tingling of the bell is said to irritate these demons and prevent them from hitching a ride on your motorcycle.
