Jerry,
They are a great company and a pleasure to do business with. That will be a great tribute to your melon when you get it. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Thanks Bee.  I can't take any credit for it.  Thank-u.com provides all the artwork.  You just give them the info to print on the plaque.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

We wanted to include the winding road because it looks so much like that road in north GA where the melon died.  Check out this pix of all who stopped to help.

Well, not always . . . . . . . Ask JR how many bikes went by as he sat with my bike on the side of a busy 4-lane divided highway in Dillsboro, NC while I took his scooter to get my truck and trailer.  I think he counted somewhere in excess of 50 if I remember right.  The ONLY person who stopped was a young GIRL, all by herself, nonetheless.

Nice artwork and a nice tribute to your trusty steed.  I'm sure you'll grow to love your new mount even more.

Cheers, CVOMOE

That's hard to believe, I guess I've been lucky.  I have to tell this story: I came back from a posting overseas and brought back a Royal Enfield Bullet...350 one-lunger.  It really didn't like the clean air and gas in Canada and was constantly crapping out on me.  One day, after another break down I was sitting dejected on the curb staring a the bike.  A young guy pulls up in a small (import) station wagon and asks if he can help.  Looking at his car I responded with a thanks but no thanks.  He then suggests we put the bike in the back of his station wagon??  We pushed and stuffed about 3/4 of the bike into the back of the car and by now it's leaking oil and gas all over his car.  He shrugs this off saying it was his wife's car anyway.  He then drives me halfway across the city to my house, deposits the bike in my driveway and takes off.  I opened my wallet and more or less told him to take what he wanted but he wouldn't take a thing.  "Been there before man" is all that he said and off he drove.  I never forgot that and make it a habit to pull over when I see a biker (or motorist for that matter) in need.

Ultrafxr-

Nice looking and 1st rate plaque.  A great way to remember the melon.  The old girl may be back on the road again someday in some form or another.

Real cool Jerry!  8-)[smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=cucumber.gif] It's amazing how much that background looks like the road we were on. Which one you like better, the melon or the B/O Jester?
