Wow tough crowd, not a fan either, but was wondering if their lifters are designed to self destruct as the warranty runs out? Sorry couldn't resist. Maybe we could harley to sell us rolling bikes and we could add our own engines?

Not a fan either... but was thinking what's better.... a pretty bike broke down on the side of the road (or constantly worrying if it will break down) or a not so pretty bike that you can depend on... the things that make you go "hmmmmm". :nixweiss: I guess time will tell if the Indian's will be dependable.

My guess is you've already said/called it a few choice words. :o Glad it's "all better now" and sucks that you had to go through that (it let you down). :( >:( :'(

Sure.. but I have had cars let me down too. So, is it any more or less reliable? I hear the BMW guys have the same if not more complaints.

This man demonstrates a true understanding. Very informative and accurate to a fault.

See above video.  It applies to motorcycles too.

I don't know...it probably is a well made machine but as mentioned in other posts until they get the support, meaning more dealers, readily available parts and accessories and trained techs to work on them I will not buy one. Besides I can not get use to the skirts or whatever you call them covering up my wheels that up paid all that money for. Plus wheels on a motorcycle are hard enough to clean without them.

What if even with the lack of dealer support and trained techs to work on them they didn't break down would they look better then?  I guess time will tell.  My first ride on a motorcycle was in 1953 on my cousins Indian, guess I have always thought they were neat.

I don't think so. 20 to 30K is a lot to throw down on a what if. They have a ways to go to prove their reliability. Harley is far from perfect but at least I know what I am getting and what I am up against.

Not a fan of the styling either but imo it is not a total abortion.  I do not think the passenger arm rests are standard but in any case they would not be on any bike I ride!  Planning to go the the Indian dealer in Murfreesboro, TN, (Sloan's) the end of October when they have the demo truck to see for myself.
