Hi all
Been meaning to find this site, my husband's been talking about it for a while now ; )
My story... still amuses me even now. I never wanted a Harley, didn't like them, didn't want anything to do with them. However, a Harley was my husband's life's dream, so.. in December '05, we bought his. That following father's day, he bought himself a half helmet. The helmet - I loved, and thought how perfect it would be for the summer, so.. he said they were on sale at the Harley Dealer and we should take a ride down.
On the showroom floor was a two tone teal, screaming eagle electra glide. The most amazing machine I had ever laid eyes upon. I looked at it, walked around it, sat on it... and before I left, I put a deposit down on it. It was... (and is) enormous! But I knew that if I didn't buy that bike, I would spend the rest of my life chasing that bike, so.. in the single most impulsive, crazy thing I have ever done in my life, I bought it.
Goliath, as I refer to my valliant steed, has become my best friend... and I have become somewhat ... obsessed (or so I am told) with teal but I mean come on now... what is better than having a leather jacket that matches your bike? (And purse, and shirt(s), and and and... )
I really had no idea what it was that I had when I first bought it. Had no clue what a CVO was, or why it was so special. I have truly enjoyed the journey that I have been on after buying this bike. I have gone from not liking Harley's and knowing nothing whatsoever about them to owning the top of the line, secretary of my chapter, attending the rally's, visiting the factories, the museum, and every business trip for me now includes a stop at the local Harley dealer for a T shirt.
What a glorious life this is!!
