Who can identify this part?
« on: April 19, 2016, 08:39:40 PM »

Looking for year and model of this air cleaner cover...I believe it is from an Ultra? I'm wanting to buy the insert for my '11 SESG.

I would have said '08, too, but Grizzly has one and he said it's an '11.  :nixweiss:  But '11s did not have those ribs.  Pretty sure it's some early 110, like '07, '08 or '09.

You know these guys could be onto something...

I do have an '08, but it's an Anniversary edition so the entire center section of the cover is colour matched (copper), and therefore never gave it a thought.

I checked the other 2008's and they look like what you have there.  I believe the '07's may have the same cover as well.

Hope this helps.

The non-anniversary version is part number 30027-08, and looks like the one in your photo.  And it was from the 2008 CVO's.  I have no idea if this would fit the Ventilator air cleaner cover from a 2011 SESG however.

Looks like the one on my 07 cuse2.

ADDED:  The insert is p/n 29861-07.  Surdyke has it listed for $42.22.  List price is $57.00.  Ouch!

I agree with Ultrafxr, 2007 CUSE2. I have a picture of mine somewhere to confirm. Almost lost it one time when the screws worked loose right after I got it.

Might just be the difference in lighting between the two photo's, but the OP's pic looks like a lighter shade of grey, similar to the '08 model.  So he's got at least two choices and part numbers so far, plus there's the anniversary version.  Still need to first determine if it will actually fit on the 2011 SESG Ventilator cover though.
