fullsac question?
« on: September 23, 2012, 11:09:11 AM »

Ok so I am trying to decide what exhaust to put on my 2013 SE ultra. Allot of people on here seem to love Fullsac. Here is my problem, If you look at the dyno sheets on his web site, the stage 1 numbers do not match up. If I do a stage one kit, will I get 107 HP or 94HP? Thats a huge difference. Not instilling much confidence in there products. Just my opinion. Now don't get me wrong, I used there 2" core baffles and there true duals kit on my 07 but back then all I was trying to do is quiet my bike down (not looking for power).

Those are numbers from other peoples bikes, what you will get should be between 94hp 107hp. Fullsac upgrades are designed around Torque , not HP, so if you compair the torque numbers on those 2 sheets you see 114 & 111 for Stage 1 kit.

This kit in MHO is well worth the money, and I love the sound and power it did for me, but then again, the longer I have it, the more I want to upgrade to Stage 2..... you know it's NEVER enough :)

you said torque would be between  114 & 111
does that mean I would lose torque because I'm at 122 stock on the 2012 cvo roadglide?

I think if you were to have your stock bike dynoed before any work, its not very likely to pull 122ft lbs. In fact I'm quite confident it won't. I had the stock 110 in my 2010 SE Ultra dynoed before engine upgrades. Its the exact same motor, exhaust and cam as yours. Riight out of the box it was 77hp and 100 ftlbs at the rear wheel. I doubt your's is more than 5% different from those #s. After headwork, Woods 408-6 cam, 58mm throttlebody, 5.3 injectors, roller rockers and a D&D Fatcat (the absolutely best pipe for both low end torque combined with higher HP engines), the bike is now 129/129 Actual (123/123 SAE).

If you do the stage 1 kit, you will most likely see an improvement of 10/10 HP/TQ plus or minus over what you started with, assuming your motor is "AVERAGE".
To say you should get "107" HP will depend on lots of things. Most likely you will see MORE than that number with a '13 110".
This is what I personally have seen after a few dyno runs on his dyno with different bikes over the years. We would do the same bike, same tank of gas, etc etc tying to keep run conditions the same.
Best of all, the bikes all ran very smooth.

You guys are missing the point. His dyno sheets don't match up. One stage one is way higher than the other is the point I was making.

I guess I should have looked at the charts!
IIRC those are 2 different bikes.
I think you are comparing a "stage 1" with a "stage 2".......there IS a difference.
We got those same numbers on my 2010 after taking off the stock air cleaner.

I see what your looking at, one chart is for their Stage 1 kit and the other is for their Stage 2 kit that shows a Stage 1 run on the same chart. What the information isn't telling you is what does the Satge 1 kit consist of on the Stage 2 chart (ie. is it theirs or ?).

I believe the stock cvo road glides 2012 and 2013 are the highest torque made on a stock cvo bike to date at 122
2012 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide Custom Motorcycle engine specifications:

Engine Type: Air-cooled, Twin Cam 110™
    Displacement: 1802 cc
    Torque: 122 ft-lb @ 3750 rpm
    Bore x Stroke: 101.6mm x 111.3mm
    Compression Ratio: 9.15:1
Exhaust: Chrome dual exhaust with 4in. touring mufflers and muffler shields

That number is based on at the crank numbers, not the rear wheel.

I think you are missing the point. 2 engines built exactly the same are not going to give the same numbers. There are many factors that come into play that will effect the outcome. Even the weather.

And to someone else's question. No you will not lose torque the examples did not show what year engines were the starting point. They were just examples of what you could gain. You really want more then contact Steve directly at fullsac he can explain better than I.

Torque at the rear wheel for a stock 110 with stock cam and stock exhaust is about 100 ftlbs (+/- 3-5%).
