-

-
Have been waiting for another CVO RG Custom, but at over $41K Harley had lost me. Have owned 5 CVO's and I won't be getting a 6th.

Is it possible the radiators are in the fairing???
-
The special.
-
Was really disappointed this wasn't an ultra version but could get a king pack and CB. Loving the Dark earth/ black color. Disappointed it's not water cooled since I have a hot 117 twin cam, but I could probly get over that. BUT What the heck is that highway bar? Looks like it was a left over part from a sportster. Guess I will be waiting till next year for a new touring ride.

Unless they put them in the vents, nope. I've had mine off enough times to know that there's no room in there.

I was thinking that's where they'd have to be. We'll have to wait til someone has a schematic or a bike to confirm.

It's not listed as a twin cool bike. So oil cooled only

I think all the colors look pretty good but the black with orange pin stripe is amazing. Also factory 21" is pretty sick too.
-
The fender looks too small on the 21"....that gray is gorgeous!
-
$41 grand? noooo hell no

Look under the oil cooler, looks like a radiator.
-
It is listed as twin cooled.
apparently, an error on the webpage. if you go to the specs, it is not listed as 'twin cooled' whereas if you go to the specs for the limited, it is.
-
and the limited:
-
It would be nice if it wasn't twin cooled, less to go wrong.
-
I was thinking the Grey Road Glide needs the Harley Davidson writing on the fairing in orange or black like the other two have. Maybe on the bag side... Orange calipers... Orange around the headlight... Better front fender...
-

Try living in Canada it's gunna be close to 50k maybe over I think it was 48 for a cvo street last year.

Here's a comparison right from MoCo site with the 3 CVO this year. Once again, Moco's web people have their heads in their asses. Now to figure out which one is correct. Doing a 360* look at the new SESG, the lowers for it don't have the fan vents in the sides of those like the Limited does.
-
For the record, I will be calling that grey one 'Possum Grey instead of the BS Grey that Moco seems to think it is.

Been talking with 1 of the son's from local dealer today about the CVO RoadGlide, said they are only getting 3 and will be 5,000 over msrp.
Said he didn't think they will last and if I wanted 1 I need to act fast.
I laughed to myself, I'm not spending 12,000 more than I paid for my limited than need to buy a tourpac.

I think there are still some 2016 CVO RG ULTRAs on the showroom floors. At $5k premium the 2018's make meet the same disaster.

Local dealer says they are only getting 6 CVO's. That's OK I'm only after one!

My guess is the orange one your after? Have you seen them all in person? What you think of Dark Earth and vivid black?

that's one thing that I was thinking also when I saw the price for these cvo's. maybe hd is going to drastically cut production to truly make these bikes 'rare'.

I like the orange bike. However I don't want to do the Chrome thing again. So to mix it up I believe the gray bike is going to be my bike of choice this year. For me it is a clean pallet.
-
Granite motor color?
-

-
They forgot the windscreen! lol
No fuel gauge in the tank like my 13.
-
Orange calipers and a longer FL fender.
-
Cool seat
-
Looks a little lighter in color outside.
-
HD website pics are the greatest.
-
Not bad colors.
-
I could do the orange if I blacked everything else out.

The orange/grey looks very similar to the 13 CVO RG.

Nothing on these new cvo rg bikes do anything for me. For the price and what you are getting. . . It's a huge rip off. No way on earth would I give up a 16cvo rg ultra for something that has barely anything on it. 41k???? Are they kidding me????? For what. . A 117 motor? They should really be ashamed of themselves. . And they wonder why their sales are off and people are looking at Indian again. .its not the millennials. It's harley davidson :nixweiss: Stuart..

My dealer also told me Harley told them at the dealer meeting production was cut drastically this year. We will see
-
That was my train of thought also. Since my dealer is only getting 6 CVO's that seems to be the case.

How many did they use to get? I know Smoky Mountain use to get lots of CVO's, I believe 6 to 8 or more of each model CVO. Not sure how many they get this year, will ask today.

Hey Dave, I know new bikes were on the trucks this week but has Scott already received some 2018's?
Some pictures would be nice if he's got them on the showroom..... ;D

No CVO's are at the dealer yet. They did receive a truck load of the new softtails. They also got a couple street glide specials and a couple Limiteds. They sold the first 18 yesterday morning, a Twisted Cherry Street glide special.

Okay. I was told that each dealer will get one CVO Limited Anniversary.

Did you get to see the twisted cherry? I like the pics....heading to KC plant today hoping to see the CVOs and the twisted cherry.
-
My dealer receives a CVO RG in three weeks. The others will not be given a ship date for two weeks.
Hope that helps.
-
I'll ask tomorrow.
It is my understanding Harley is limiting number of bikes going to each dealer. There are some dealers that are complaining that they have two year old bikes on the floor that they can't sell because the market is flooded. My dealer on the other hand can't get enough of them. He has no problem selling the high-end bikes.
-
They're gonna change out the bag lids before I take delivery. :drink: i have that space dedicated for something else. :orange: is there any other equipment in the bags, amps and such?
Speakers worx on a chick bike for some reason 8)

Disregard please :bananarock:

Seminole HD has an orange/grey listed on Craigslist for sale already.
-
Is the seat a 2- piece? Can't imagine it's very comfortable for touring for the passager. Looks like the Road Glide was built to compete with the Sport Glide, at the cost of a road touring machine.
-
looks like the same dimensions as the 2012 and 2013 road glide custom cvos. definitely looks more comfy than the stock 'badlander' style seat that they put on the regular roadglides and specials. yes, i'm sure if one was taking a passenger far and/or often, they would upgrade to a proper two up seat.
-
Does anyone have a way to see if the gauges on these are restricted? I like these and think they would go well with a Laguna Orange RGS I have.
-
I Looked up the gauges for the same reason, to replace the ones on my 2016 and the price is up there even with 20% off +/-$850.00 total compared to replacement cost on my OEM gauges at +/- $390.00 total.

Dang, that's up there. I'd have to see them in person before spending that much. Might be better to just put the 14-16 SESG gauges on instead..

My local dealer is getting 5-6 CVO's every 2 months. It's all based on their ability to sell based on last performance. I also saw the Orange CVO, absolutely gorgeous. Also saw the dark one with orange accents, nice but I prefer the Orange. However $41.4k is not in my realm of acceptable expenditure. The new Road Glide Special in the othe hand seem reasonable by comparison. None at the dealer yet.

no radiators on the road glide cvo only the ultra is water cooled road glide cvo is oil cooled the cooler is located on lower front of frame
