Hmmmmmmm.....Now that the 2018 CVOs are released with a 117 from the factory, what are the odds that HD releases a new Stage 4 kit that takes the CVO M8 to a 120? And would it be compatible with a 2017 CVO 114 engine??

Suburban Speed 124" kit!
There is no rhyme or reason as to what or why Harley does something.

Of course there is....to make as much $ as possible selling products their customers are willing to pay for!

I bet their new stage 3 is just pistons and cam. And the 4 will be heads, pistons, and cam. Because the 18's are 117 at 10.2:1, their kits will bump them to 11:1. No jugs required if done in the first 1K miles.... lol.
back in 2005, I bought a brand new RK. The dealer was doing a performance package with diamond cut heads and jugs. It was a quick swap if you had less than 1K miles, but a lot more expensive if you had more miles.

That would be a first. HD not offering a "Big bore" kit at some level for their engines would definitely be a first.

3 cubic inches never was a Big Bore kit, only a small bore increase.
