I live on a dirt road about a mile from pavement. When I leave my house I don’t go over about 12 mph or 2000 rpm. My question is, should I start the auto tune process when I leave the house or wait and start it after I get on the pavement and begin normal riding? Or do both? Btw. It is the basic auto tune.

I would do both. Watch your air cleaner though. It doesn't take long to get dirty on a dirt road and will mess up the auto tune.

I feel better now mine is only 1/2 mile long but not flat.

I found out I have to have o2 sensors first. Thanks for the replies.

Bs. Wait till town. The bike needs to be hot. You won’t hurt it. But you will waste your time. Remember. Drag race. Hold the gear. Short shift. Pass on the highway in 6,5,&4. Try to fill the board
