Title: 2013 GVO
Post by: ANKOR7 on January 25, 2018, 12:09:21 AM
Hello guys, I just wanted to share some photos of my 3 year journey. In 2014, I purchased a stock 2013 SG for $18,500 with only 540 miles on her. Afterwards, I had buyers remorse because when I saw the 2015 Black SG CVO, I was hooked! I almost traded my bike in for it after owning this one for only 3 months. But after a very long daunting convo with the wife, she convinced me to keep my bike and make it my own. So I decided to install 255 cams, Jackpot SS ceramic x-pipe head pipe and start the conversion of my own version of a CVO using my favorite things from the following CVO bikes: 12 SG, 12 RG, 15 SG and 18 RG. And now that the new 18 SGS that came out, it sort of resembles it .

After purchasing parts from forums, EBay, stealerships and vendors, she is finally complete. All parts are genuine HD parts except for the 12” Yaffe bars, head pipes, front LED turn signals, and windshield trim. I powder coated the original engine covers. I even found the CVO passenger pillion to match, matching passenger pegs and footboards, short CVO Sissy Bar, King tour pak with Boom speakers and Sundowner seat all for the Wife who hasn’t even rode yet . Anyways, with the help of a good buddy of mine, we were able to install 90% of everything ourselves. I think the only thing I’m missing from a true CVO is the 110 motor and a paint scheme but it was fun to build myself. After about $11,000 in Mods I have about $30K total invested.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

I would like to know how you got your paint to look so good and how you keep it that way.

I would like to know how you got your paint to look so good and how you keep it that way.

I use Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo, the 2-bucket wash method, Meguiar’s Gold Class Carnuba Liquid Wax a couple times a year, and Meguair’s Gold Class Quik Wax after every wash. These 3 bottles were purchased in 2014 and are about half gone, but I use them on the truck as well.

I rinse off the bike first, then use a wash mit when washing one side of the bike at a time. After everything is rinsed off I use a leaf blower to dry it off, then wipe it the remaining water spots off with a microfiber towel while spraying the Quik Wax.

Thanks! I've heard of few neighborhoods that have had high radon readings.

Curious because of the vent pipe in your garage. There is a radon belt that runs through the center of our state. I have several friends with "vented' basements.

Yeah our reading was just over the limit that recommends a radon system, but I heard just a mile away a reading was 4 times the limit.
