Title: CVO? welcome
Post by: carlos murphy on April 04, 2018, 12:13:35 AM
Howdy,
Sold my 87 FXR 2 years ago, bought in 89 with 4000K on it.
Just bought from a good friend a 1999 FXR3 with 425 miles, yes, 425 miles on it.
The document I downloaded  with pic and vin is identical to mine and it also says its a CVO but there is no CVO on my new Nevada title. Am I the proud owner of the CVO version FXR3 vin 1HD1ETL42XY951400

Welcome to the board.

I don't believe anybody's title mentions "CVO".  The three CVO's that I had in California didn't mention it and it doesn't mention it on my South Dakota registration.   :nixweiss:

Hey Carlos, first off welcome to the site.

Second, you have a CVO.  Looking up the VIN through HD, this is what comes up...

Welcome to the board Carlos!  No CVO mentioned on the titles of any I have owned, Haird's post shows that your bike is a CVO.  Lowest mileage have heard of for a 1999, must have taken it on 2-3 rides and parked it.

Thanx fer all the welcomes and info, took er fer a putt yesterday, my knee is feeling better.
Needs a service, trans is a bit stiff and she pops and stumbles a bit on accell after a shift, I'll take a look at the accelerator pump diaphragm, after 19 years and mostly sitting its probably kinda stiff. I'll get er sorted out.

Can't wait for STREET VIBRATIONS in Reno so I can show her off.

Welcome from Stockbridge, Ga.  Sounds like the previous owner only rode it a couple times and put her away. Even though it is very low mileage, I'd change the tires just in-case due to age. Also get a can of Sea-Foam and add to your gas following the instructions on the can.

Just got the bike back from Battle Born Harley in Carson City, changed all oils, brake fluid, fork oil and spark plugs.
Also replaced the tires with Harley Davidson/Dunlop GT502F front and Harley Davidson/Dunlop D401 rear.
Thanks for the welcome.
Chuck
