I INSTALL THE PERFORMANCE BAFFLES LAST NIGHT WITH NEW END CAPS FOR THE RINEHARTS..
PROS OF THE BAFFLES...
LOADER AT IDLE
LOADER AT 70 MILES HOUR
BETTER MIDRANGE AT 3,000 RPM
I THINK I PICKED UP A FEW POUNDS OF TORQUE..BUT IT MIGHT BE THE NEW FACTOR KICKING IN..LOL
CONS..
GETTING THE SCREWS TOO GO IN AFTER PUTTING THE END CAPS ON.
THANKS AGAIN..SCRM-R FOR THE HELP
MICHAEL
PIC OF THE NEW END CAPS...ITS TIME TO BE DIFF..EVERYONE HAS THE PURPLE ONES (BLACK ONES)

Looks good Michael.  I like these baffles...they have a low rumble at lower rpm's and they really bark when you twist the throttle!

Please someone explain. I currently have Samson's straight pipes on my FTXD(Superglide). I am moving up to a SERK and want pipes as well. I have been looking around and just need something explained.

1. I saw the dyno w/ V&H pipes output higher than R&H TD. Plus price is lower. Including chrome shield 220 degrees around the pipe from top to bottom. So if you want better torque and pull on the low end; thats the way to go?

2.However, you can spend $899.00 for RH TD plus $30.00 for quieter baffles? Get the same results?

3. I do not want the cross over. I want performance w/ power; unless that is the way to go.

Any help would be great!

Check prices at Eastern Performance, either on e-bay or directly.

HP numbers are typically higher for the RH TD's, with some loss of lower to mid range TQ.  If you want the most TQ, go with a 2 into 1 pipe.  There are some compromises, no matter what pipe you choose...it all depends on how much "the look" is important to you compared to total HP/TQ numbers.  Your butt won't be able to tell a whole lot of difference, IMO.

Trust comparing two dyno sheets about as far as you can throw your scooter.  The only valid test is same bike, same dyno, same day, same tuner, same temp/relative humidity, same correction factor, etc.

I have the R/H  true duals and 2 1/2  performances baffles. My question is has any one tried to get more rumble out of them? Say by drilling the baffles with larger holes? I'd like mine to be louder. I had the V/H  2 into 1 on my Dyna and removed the plug in the baffles and made them roar.  Does anyone have a tried and true way to do the same on the  R/H's?  8)

THE RINEHARTS CAME WITH A 2 1/4 BAFFLE FROM THE FACTORY. I CUT THE BAFFLES INTO. THE SOUND WAS MUCH LOADER. BUT WHEN PEOPLE RODE BEHIND ME SAID THAT THE BAFFLES HAD A CRACKLY SOUND. AND DIDNT SOUND GOOD. I DIDNT HAVE THE BIKE RETUNED AND WHEN I REPLACE THE PLUGS A FEW WEEKS AGO THEY WERE WHITE. MEANING THE BIKE WAS RUNNING LEAN.. INSTEAD OF PAYING 250-500 DOLLARS TOO HAVE IT RETUNED, I BOUGHT THE PERFORMANCE BAFFLES. IT WAS THE BEST 98 BUCKS I SPENT.
I BIKE HAS MORE POWER ...I LOST ALOT OF POWER WITH THE BAFFLES CUT.
I EVEN GOT SQUIRRELY AND RACE A BMW THE OTHER DAY FROM A STAND STILL. BMW KEPT UP WITH ME UNTIL I GOT INTO 3RD GEAR..THEN I LEFT HIM..
I AM FROM A FAMILY OF BIKES THAT HAD STRAIGHT PIPES ON THE THEM (HOOKERS AND VH) WHICH ARE COMPLETELY DIFF THAN RINEHARTS..
TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION DONT CUT THEM..OR WHICH PIPES..
THE PICTURE BELOW WAS A WIDEGLIDE..
