Yea.......and be sure and mention this web site if they want to get their CVO facts straight prior to print. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Technically the 07's are the first time for the Dyna. The others were FXR's 8-)

I suspect that the writers consider the Dyna to be a unique bike as opposed to the Wide Glide (previously CVO issued Dyna family bike). If you go into a dealer, and ask for a Dyna, they'll show you a Superglide, but not a Wide Glide. If you then say that you wanted a Wide Glide, they'll say "Why didn't you say so?" Same family, of course, but regarded on the street as different animals.
And (ahem) please don't ever confuse a FXR with a Dyna. >:( ;)

Sorry Jim, No FXR's in 2001, last one was the FXR4 in 2000
The 2001 Red with Gold Leaf and Ostrich Seat was most definately a Dyna as was the Blue with Silver Both had 88 inch motors but nonetheless as Roger says were CVO

Sleazy Rider isn't exactly known as the paradigm of journalistic integrity.
I'm rather fond of my DYNA Wide Glide 3 even if it's the second CVO Dyna ....
We have the same problem with people thinking all CVO's are Screamin Eagles .. when there were about 6500 non SE CVO's made .. go figure .
Happy Holidays to all

Hey buddy. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] There is no accounting for ignorance. Anyone who has seen your DYNA Wide Glide 3 has just gotta know that you don't need SE to have a fantastic ride. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

LETTER TO THE EDITOR!!!!!!!
Well the DYNA GLIDE and the DYNA WIDE GLIDE are the same chassis but not the same model.
So I guess you both can be correct.
Be Safe

You're right. They're all Dyna's. It's just the 1st narrow glide SEDYNA. Hoist!

CVO Dyna dispute
In the Dec 2006 issue there is an article on the 2007 H-D CVO lineup. In this article John Sullivan states "This is the first year for a CVO Dyna". This is not true. The 2007 FXDSE is the first CVO Dyna with an "SE" Screamin' Eagle designation, but both the FXDWG2 (2001) and the FXDWG3 (2002) are in fact CVO Dyna models.
The complete CVO history is available online through www.harley-davidson.com.

[smiley=oops.gif]I stand corrected...I totally forgot about those. Kinda sad because the 01 red is one of my favorites.....
