When I read rider down in MV I thought it happened on one of the twisties. Not in town with some a$$ making a u-turn into you. Have a speedy and full recovery.

I would definitely wait and see 2017s before buying. That's what I did last year. With Harleys track record on first year with new motors I would have to think long and hard on the 114" engine. But I would wait and make that decision in about two weeks. Best of luck to you.

Dadgummit, Paws, that's a shame!  I'm just glad you're ok, thank the Good Lord!  Ditto on replacin' the Iron.  Hold your own on the value.  They're trained to get out as cheap as humanly possible.  I'm not with everybody on gettin' a new one, but that's just me.  Looks like they've got early on problems, to me.  Your CVO was a good lookin' Motorsickle, and I know where there's one just like it, 'cept it's Yellow & Black, with 4000 miles, and $5K worth of extras, for $26,500.00.  Just sayin........Good luck, and get better soon!  Later--HUBBARD

Ok, that's out.  My Business Partner decided to keep that Bike!  And, he bought a New Trailer this weekend, so he can probate for W.H.O.R.E.!  I wish you a speedy recovery Paws, and all the happiness that comes with buying another Harley!  Later--HUBBARD

Wow, pretty familiar-looking piece of road there.   Of all the towns not to be on the constant lookout for bikes.   Glad you'll be OK and hope everything works out financially.  Good luck with the new bike search, too.

Dadgum Bill! Sorry that it happened but praise God that your Okay! I'd wait on the 2017's before you nab that 2016. May have something that rocks your boat. Either way what ever you decide to get will be nice. Praying you have no complications from this accident buddy! Gods sweet love and blessings!

Suggestion:  I wouldn't be in a big hurry to buy anything until you ask your lawyer first. 

I think you're goitng to want your crashed bike residual value settled and be released from the doctor from your lawyers perspective first.

Just got the repair estimate yesterday $26,000. The car drivers ins company said they will settle the bike by Friday. They have already sent me a check for all property minus the bike. We will talk about injury settlement in 8 weeks or so. So far his company Stare Farm looks to be treating me OK.

Another two weeks or so and most skin will be back and the ribs should be OK.
