Another two weeks or so and most skin will be back and the ribs should be OK.

VERY GOOD NEWS:  Please be sure to have your doctors assess the longer term issues you may experience with your injuries.  In some cases arthritis and muscle and rand of motion issues are experienced.  All important to know before the final releases are signed.

You're probably feeling pretty crappy right now but it'll pass.  Just hope there's no lasting/lingering joint problems.

And I sure hope they had insurance enough to cover the damages to your bike.

That sux, hope you were not injured too badly.

The insurance issue is interesting. In July, my '11 SERGU crapped with a lifter gone bad, long story on how Asheville HD botched that whole diagnosis and charged me $172 to change two spark plugs that took 3 hours, that is a tale for another day and another section.

So, being on first day of a weeks vacation and having 40K miles on the '11, much to my wife's displeasure, I bought a '16 SERGU rather than have the '11 repaired.

The sticker was $41,500, I got her for $36,800, so, the finance manager said "Oh, you do not need GAP insurance as the value of the bike is more than you paid" , being an insurance adjuster, I said "well, what happens in two years when the bike has 20,000 miles on it and it is upside down". She did not have an answer.

The point is, the GAP coasts $12 a month and worth EVERY penny.

That sucks. It's always horrible when you mess your bike up like that.

Just went back. First time pulling out of the same motel was a bit strange....Made it back to VA OK. Also rode the Dragon again. Not really worth the time but went with others who have never been on it.

Glad it all worked out!  It is always strange when you go back to the same place after an accident.
