Ohlin Install-need help!
« on: May 24, 2017, 11:04:26 PM »

dealer called me today and said they are having issues installing the reservoirs on the rear Ohlin's because where the 17 CVO Streetglide wires go into the saddlebags is messing up where they usually go. They called Howard who said he hadn't run into this before. He suggested they look at a bracket made by Big Bear Choppers. That bracket puts the reservoir above the saddlebag which i would never do. I am hoping someone here has figured it out?
Dealer seems to be stumped so I am freaking out a bit..

I have the solution.

I'll run my bike up there and they can put them on my bike.  They'll have it done in time for our ride on Sat.  At the end of the day I can let you know how it rides on the goat trails.....maybe even let you ride it for the day.  It'll be humbling for you to ride a "stock" motor again.   :bananarock: :bananarock:

Alan,

Typical dealer, I'll save that for another story....

MOST folks that have the Ohlins 6-6 shocks attach the reservoir to the slanted rear downward bracket of the saddlebag support.

Great choice for shocks BTW.

Good luck.

I want to add the Ohlins shock to my 2017 CVO Street Glide.  What other mounting options have other used?  I called Howard and he told me to take a photo of the electronic connection that goes into the right saddlebag.

JC is really that kind of guy! I was hoping after seeing the picture that they didn't use the blue duct tape to hold it on! LOL
