Ha -- 3 engines in 41 years!  I fell sorry for the guy.  With MoCo's help, some HD riders are able to do that in the first year.

My dad had a guy in his shop with a Sporty that he had to cut the motor mount bolts off to get the motor out.  Guy had ridden that sporty a million miles.  Hard tail kicker, 70's model year.  He only did total rebuilds every 250k.  That's some real dedication there.  He rode to Alaska and back like 10 times on it.

Heck, I cannot imagine driving a hard tail at all.  Roads beat me up even with an upgrade suspension.

I had several used bikes but my first new one was a Honda Hawk (couldn't afford a Goldwing while in the USMC).   That bike was great and took two of us all over the eastern US in all kinds weather. I rode every chance I could and it never missed a beat ever.  They don't make them like that any more!

Impressive to do it on one bike. I would have been lot wealthier if I had done the same! Took me 26 motorcycles to do the same that this guy did on one.
