There have been multiple posts recently about the clutch engagement zone being too far out for comfort, and with no adjustment possible, we're sorta SOL.
Had a Barnett Scorpion clutch installed in a 2011 SERGU about 2 years ago.
From the start, it had a squeak, or slight squeal, on takeoff. Also, the engagement point/friction zone wasn't until the lever was almost all the way out (about 3/4" from fully out), so slow-speed maneuvering could be touchy. Noise did get worse, but clutch function and engagement didn't change.
Saw on this forum where someone else had same noise, and that Barnett had a kit for that. Called Barnett and they sent me the kit no charge, along with their clutch hub locking tool. Easy fix; just remove clutch plates, install new damper spring and seat, plus one narrower friction plate, then replace original friction plates and steels.
Opened it up, and Ouch! Original HD clutch basket had two cracks all the way through outer ring (pictures attached).
