Stock 103 heads vs 110 heads
« on: October 17, 2017, 05:32:58 PM »

Was looking at a build this winter to 113/117 and a buddy brought up a subject that I haven't seen addressed before. He stated that stock 103 heads without the ACR's (but drilled for manual) would yield more power than the 110's both being prepped properly. Something about the ACR's made it hard to shape them properly. I don't want to give up the ACR feature but don't want to leave anything out. This was a bench racing/ beer drinking kind of conversation so I may have not fully understood but it seems like there are many builds on here with the 110 heads. Any enlightenment would be appreciated!

It depends..
What you feel is torque, what you see are dyno sheets.
Feel free to call me and I can help you get what you are looking for. Both heads have their place, both will work well but not knowing how you ride and what your budget and goals are it is an open ended question. Another factor is what you already have and bring to the table, in the interest of saving costs.
Adding acrs to the stock heads is easy and works with no downside.
