Chrome Starter Alternatives

Thinking about upgrading to a chrome starter. Not willing to pay $529.95  for a 1.4 KW starter from HD. What are some good alternatives that you all have used and have some miles  & time on?

Most of the aftermarket parts suppliers sell them. Can't say anything about being American made, because the stock ones aren't.  ;)

Could always have yours done. Advanced Plating in Nashville does excellent work.

Yes, I have heard they do great work..Been thinking about finding a good core, sending it to plate and having a good starter guy here redo it. That way I know what I have
