Garage upgrade begins
« on: October 25, 2017, 03:52:13 PM »

Well my garage/man cave has begun today ;D
It's going to take a number of days to complete I'll post pic of the progress. The plan is to achieve more order to the semi orderly chaos it's now in my limited space. At the same time it well be a garage/workshop/ man cave.

                                                                                   DAY 1 Pics

You saying that, I was kicking the idea around but haven't come to terms with a color scheme or to go that route.

DAY 4,
Parts cleaning sink in still needs to be plumbed in got a submersible pump on its way, a little wood staining, a couple of drawers still to make and fit in. Got a few things in place and some shelving to put up.
Going to put in a side door at the end of the vice bench that will enable me to access from the rear fenced in backyard saves me having to open the main garage door all the time.
It's taken 15 months to get it sorted like my user name at,....longlast,... it's coming together  ;D
It's not a big garage 10x20,...but hey, it works for me and my mistress. I now have room to move around with her parked in there. Having the bench beats working off the floor.
The racing chequered floor is a no go :-\

You’re making great progress. Since the race deck is out will you just leave the flooring as is?

Cheers DesertHOG,.  For the time being "yes" the floor is staying as is, I'm still kicking the dirt as what to do with it  :nixweiss:

A large remnant of indoor/outdoor carpet would help get you through the winter and very nice under feet.  I had it in a garage previously....lasted for several years.

You have a point there JCZ, I'm not so good on a hard surface with my knees any more the carpet that's down now helps a lot. Had thought to get the carpet sample they have in carpet shops and stitch them together like a patch quilt carpet  ;D over here they just throw them away.

It is looking good.  It is helpful to have something soft to kneel on!

You only need a mini-fridge to keep the beverages cold - no need for a microwave since cold pizza makes for an excellent snack.

BTW Longlast the project is looking very nice  :2vrolijk_21:

:D  :2vrolijk_21: Don,  yup got a mini-cooler it'll be going in once I've got the rest of the biuld done, part not showing in the pic. ( I know, it should have gone in first  ;D )
I did have a old microwave but I stripped it down for the transformer to make a tac welder.
Cold suds has priority over hot pizza, as phato1 said cold pizza and cold suds works.

That is definitely a good set of priorities.  The whole project is coming together ship-shape and Bristol fashion!
