Titanium limitations for heads
« on: November 13, 2017, 08:36:25 AM »

I have e a set of heads with a heavy spring pressure and titanium retainers. I believe these were set up to run the Wood 68-7.
I'm worried a out the longevity and what would the service interval on these be? I'll be using a T-man cam instead.

Nothing wrong with titanium retainers on the street, or longevity issues.
You should check your valve spring pressure with the valve on the seat, and at full lift. While you're at it check coil bind.

titainium will out last steel 100 times over,no longevity issue there.but like john said, check you seat pressure.only use springs that fit your cams, not too much or too little pressure.
