While you are waiting......disconnect the battery for 10-15 minutes and then reattach the connections and see if the issue goes away.

If you don’t know how to enter the code manually you should consider learning. Re enter the code and see if you have solved the issue. If not the new key fob will be along shortly.

Good luck!!

I wrote the information down and carry it in my wallet. I've tried but no way I can remember it, I don't want to be cought out out and have to try to remember the sequence and be stuck over a two bit fob battery. I also carry a spare battery on the bike. Just to cover the my options.

Just to be safe in my rapidly advancing age, I took a picture of it with my iPhone.

You just never know when you or a friend will need it.

Best regards

Anytime you might need instructions for about anything on the bike, remember Google and YouTube. Either or both will have what you need. Siri, not so much.

I forgot to mention :P  if you have the alarm system set up to activate when you turn ignition switch on and off it would be an idea to set it to silent. I've set up mine on silent so if the alarm system activates on ignition it gives me a bit of warning the fob battery may be getting low.

My owners manual had a wallet size card that provides all the steps and place to write your pin.
