O2 sensor connection
« on: April 08, 2018, 02:08:17 PM »

I am feeling a little confused. I went to connect the O2 sensors where the manual says it goes. I found what looks like a jumper in both connectors. What am I missing? This is a 2016 flhtkse with a power commander V.

Jumper? A picture would help us give you better responses.

PCV disables the 02 sensors with those jumpers. If you plug the 02s back in, the PCV map will be overridden by the 02 input.

I can’t post pictures anymore. So do I just leave the jumpers in and the O2’s disconnected? Thanks.

With the Power Commander installed yes that's what you do.

It seems like a real shame to give up the advantages of closed loop engine management, which is what you're doing with a PCV.  But if that's what you want, then yes you leave the "eliminators" plugged in to the connectors for the sensors.  This will leave you with engine management similar to the old systems found on '06 and earlier injected Harley's.  Make sure you get a good tune, since the system will no longer self correct for mixture related issues.  OR, I believe Power Commander sells an add-on for the PCV that turns it into a closed loop system using wide band O2 sensors.

Didn’t know that. Thanks for the heads up. I also have a power vision.

The Power Vision is a much better choice IMHO.  Don't use those "eliminators" with the PV.
