Ultimate Street 103
« on: October 29, 2007, 01:54:46 PM »

Got my bike back from Cyclerama in Tampa. Finally bit the bullet on engine performance upgrade. Basically a "top end" stealth 103. Still on initial "tune" from build job. Had previously 92/103 HP/TQ. I can tell you from initial impression that the torque is way higher. The pull from a dead stop is amazing!  At 65mph the pull to 85mph is "hold on, strap it down" fast! So far so good, go back in two weeks for break in dyno tune. john

Sounds great.  How'd they treat you?  Were they pro's or the old we're doing you a favor for your money routine?

Thanks for your feedback.

Wes is the owner. he and his wife are great people. Since I don't know much about mechanical things, asked alot of stupid questions. Explained it to me "like I was in the third grade". Best part when talking to them in the beginning he wanted to about riding habits, how i ride the bike, what I wanted it to do, what I expected from a certain build job, etc. Obviously not a lot of long term follow up, but compared to others I have dealt with so far so good. john

You show that your using  R&R Cams and that your using Cycle Ram Cams wondering which brand and model you settled on ?
Any idea what your compression ended up at?

Did they do the assembly or did you?  Also if I may ask how much did it set you back.  I was thinking about having them do my work also.

Thanks

I am rebuilding my 110 now...Wes at Cycle Rama is supplying everything...I am doing the assembly myself...I should start seeing parts arrive in a week or two.  I have all the confidence in the world in the package Wes put together.

later...Scott

Got bike back from cyclerama. Had a major setback with engine (long story), but Wes and crew got everything fixed. Took it for a couple hundred mile ride. Seat of the pants dyno is WOW!  ( actual dyno #112HP/118TQ, got get my scanner working to get download of graphs).  I guess I may need some new rotor sooner than I thought to just stop this thing.  Not cheap deal, but in curvy roads about 3500 rpm even rice rockets can't pass you! Like the MC ad says, look on their faces when they ask what is in that thing? PRICELESS! john

John,

Glad to hear it runs good and that it puts a smile on your face when riding it that is what is all about anyhow.   Mind sharing what the set back was?   Will you be at Bikeweek in Daytona this year?   Get the scanner working already  :huepfenlol2:
