CVO cover concerns??
« on: December 22, 2007, 11:23:43 PM »

Hi Ruford07 here
a newbie...
Stumbled onto the CVO cover discussion.
I just bought a new CVO cover off EBAY, it is sweet!
I see where there are some that have had issues with HD storage covers and condensation or the like?
My bikes are in the basement, temp stays at 65-67? what types of concerns are there with covering the badboy in this environment?

P S I'm looking to get another for my wifes bike any out there?
Happy Holidays, ah, Merry Christmas to all and have Happy New Year

Welcome to the site glad to have you join us. :2vrolijk_21: If you are concerned about moisture buildup in your basement you could get a dehumidifier and place that there. That would take care of any concerns about moisture.

Welcome from Salem, Oregon! If you are talking about the cotton CVO cover and using it in an indoor heated environment, I don't think that you should have any problems with condensation.

Welcome from Philly,  new myself!

with the temps you listed you should have almost no concerns, the real problem occurs with change in temperatures.

with temperature swings you get cold bike and warm air is bad! condensation occurs and then rust.

with steady temps cold or warm everything is cool.....if you want to reduce moisture put a barrier between cement floor and bike

and the will reduce moisture coming up through the floor.

good luck
