new to site

Was at the painters Saturday and learned of this site. Not sure if it has been a good thing. I say that because I have been reading the postings on the problems with the 110 engines. I only have 3000 miles on an 07 FLHTCUSE2 I purchased in Sept. and in Washington State that is almost the end of our season. You have to dodge the weather. I have become concerned about the the issues stated on the 110 as I have some extensive rides planned for this year. I have been trying to read more on the fixes and search for pics of those fixes as the local dealer gave me the pat company answer, "haven't heard of that ". Any help would be great.

Hey Art - Welcome to the site from Illinois...

  I would not shy away from any long rides due to concern of the head gasket leaks...  The leaks are an annoyance and a mess, but will not keep you from getting home...  I was a thousand miles from home when my leak appeared...  Ride on!   :2vrolijk_21:

I just got my Dyna late last fall and have only put on 695 miles. Most were extremely cold. I never found this site until after I had purchased her, Don't know if  the 110 issues will bother me as my husband's 84 low rider leaked, I
have extended warranty, so if problems do arise, I'll take it back to them. There's a cool mechanic ar Central Maine Harley that is pretty straight forward. Want him to do my 1000 mile checkup, Will ask if he has ever dealt with the problem. Just have to wait for the snow storms to subside and melt then the mud to dry up. The days are getting longer, soooooooo......................soon spring will arrive, ;D

Hey Art. Welcome to the site from Canada. I wouldn't shy away from long rides just because of problems others may incurred. I have an 07 110 with about 5 thousand miles & so far so good. One trip was over 2500 miles with no issues. My advice is drive it like you stole it and hope for the best.
