Zippers ECm
« on: May 08, 2005, 01:16:03 AM »

So now I know who - what ZIppers is.

Where do you find the price on the website, I can't find the link?

http://www.zippersperformance.com/catalogue/showproduct.asp?cat=588&prod=1415

The Zippers ECM looks like a good product, if it does what is claimed.

They took the price sheet off of the web site about a year ago for what ever reason. The ecm does what it will say it will do. I am very happy so far. The best part about it you can't outgrow it. Stay safe

The list price is 429.99 I think. I know the owner and I don't know if we can do that. I will be there tomorrow and I will ask. Maybe I can set up a dealer account through my business and do it that way. Get a direct ship and you pay directly when you order. A good friend of mine does own a bike shop may he will do something to help everyone out. Stay safe.

If you find something out that's good Dawg there's a "group buy" section in the "For Sale" directory.  Start it up there and see how many are interested.  I'm sure curiious enough to pay a lot of attention.

Zipper's gave me the 2  authorized Ohio Harley dealer's who sell their ware's. I checked them both out this weekend  looking to make a deal and all they did was push the Race Tuner etc...on me. I walked out and left it at that.

I did stop by M&M Cycles in Sandusky which I heard about here on this site. Mark the owner is a very nice guy. I bought my highway peg set up, complete hot topper kit and a smoked led kuryaukyn tail light while there. He priced out several other items for me and I walked away impressed.

DC when will you be posting your new dyno number's???? I'm ready to place my order for my basic performance upgrades...........

FAYBOY as soon as I get a chance to get the bike on the treadmill. I'm leaving for Myrtle  this week so it won't be till I get home. I would think towards the end of the month. Stay safe.

DC,

If you run into Dr Dyno down at Myrtle Beach you may want to give him a try. He's pretty well respected and recently added an AFR module to his dyno. The guy is a wizard at tweaking a bike.
He can usullly be found around the Murrell's Inlet end of town. Or check out his website for the exact location:   www:drdyno.com

Good Luck. And stay away from the Dog House while there.... [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=drink.gif]

Hey Fat Boy,
The Harley dealer was pushin' black and orange - on you huh?  So much for listening to your customers.  If they won't help you get what you want, Mark at M&M will, He's a stand up guy and he knows what works.

If your heading  to Myrtle Beach, I heard that Zipper's will be set up at Phillip's Seafood across from Nascar Cafe on Hwy 17 and 19th St.  They are doing the same thing that they did in Daytona - they are offering free installation and trial run of their ThunderMax ECM - It was a really good gig.  They had several of their Tech people and Engineers there mapping and installing replacement ECM's.  The deal was they would put it on and let you roll - if you liked it you bought it - if you didn't you gave it back.  I didn't see anyone give'm up after they rode their bike.  They had special event pricing and a 30 day money back guaranty too.

Hope this helps.

Sorry 'bout that Fat Boy - I thought you were talking about M&M Mark in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.

Even if there is no discount available it's still a bargain considering it comes already tuned for the application.  The Race Tuner costs even more plus you are at the mercy of the dealer to know how to use it @ $$$100 an hr.

Later on.

The ECM is $450.00 for a SERK set up with D&D 2.1 and SE Stage I. Bought one today. Would have never known about it without this site which I've been lurking instead of listing on. Great folks, very helpful and will answer any questions that you may have. Will let you know how it works out for me.

Later days, budman
