Well, I do not personally have any problems with the 110 engines.  Seems lot of folks don't have either.  Some do, most don't.

Looking at the 09 Ultra this past weekend, my husband was hinting heavily that he'd be very interested and I mentioned, "would you knowingly buy this product?" and he was not too sure.  It is hard to walk away from what works great to get into this unknown.  Will yours fail?  Will it fail early or late. Maybe never.  But I was not trying to be too funny.  In the Valley last weekend we talked about the members attending with the 110 engines who had no problems at all.  It is a numbers game, seems to be.

Any Problems with the CVO 110s?

Isn't that like asking if the Pope is Catholic?

Well Ibrowse, It's nice to welcome a new member.  And as you can see, we have some extremely sharp tacks in our group.  You will learn to love them when you are not on the reciving end of thier wit.

I am glad I looked back at this post today.  They really entertain me.  No offence to you, but I have been laughin my butt off.

In most cases they are the same guys and gals that will show every coutesy and help you with whatever issues may arise.  I think there are some real talented motorheads in our club, based on my reading You just happened to ask a question during a full moon and the scenario was complete.

Anyhow welcome and enjoy the ride

So hats off to the "CVO Superclub Entertainers"  I just love this site.

There have been so many issues with the 110, that is why you caught the sarcastic welcome, but I have not read anywhere yet that the problems have surfaced on the 2009 models.
Now this site is filled with the skeptics and cynics, but truth be told not much has happened lately.
Now the skeptics and cynics would say not enough miles yet, who knows but time?

Had to take mine out for a ride on a wonderfully warm Jan 2nd in west tennessee.  I,ve had no problems yet with mine but am fully aware of the issues others are having.  I guess time and mileage will tell.

Hey HDHOG1. Thanks for the remarks. I have tough skin... I am pretty knowledgeable on non-CVO matters. I will leave this post active and chuckle at the responses as well.
The way I see it, it was my turn in the barrel! lol
Thanks to all who chimed in. I probably (now) would have responded the same way for a rookie question like mine.  :)

I see Willy "What Problems" G. has joined the board.  :P

Will the 110 you buy have a bad crank?  Maybe, less of a chance now that they changed what is "normal".  Haven't seen that they changed suppliers however.
Will the oil pump survive the crank wobble if it is bad?  Wouldn't count on it for long.
Will the cylinder liners move?  Seems to be what causes the head gasket failures, same cylinders as before.
Will it have head gasket failures?  Probably.  The replacements for the early ones have been failing and it's what they use at the start now.
Will it have valve train noise?  Good chance of it, but then again "normal" is a subjective term.  Some get better, some don't.
Will the starter shell out and take the primary with it?  Might.
Will the ACRs refuse to open and kill the starter?  They've been known to.
Will the ACRs open while you are riding and eventually lock the engine up?  Happened to at least one person here.
Will the transmission whine?  Only in some gears, costs too much to put all quiet ones on a $30K bike.  At least it's normal.
Will the dealer and factory stand behind fixing the problems?  You might get a book out of the deal.
