Yesterday I sold my Night Rod Special to a friend of mine. It is now time to look for a new bike for next year and I like the SESG.

I am looking for more pictures of the red FLHXSE. Up to now I found no picture, which shows the bike from the front and the side.

How does the center console look and the fairing from riders view? Are the pinstripes black or is it a darker red? How looks this red in nature, is it like a Ferrari red or is it more orange? :nixweiss: :nixweiss: :nixweiss:

I am dissapointed by the website of MoCo, because such an expensive bike should be shown with much, much more pictures.

I compared the ground clearance of the FLHXSE with the standard FLHX and it seems that the FLHXSE is slightly higher and has a liitle bit more lean angle.  This fact is welcome for the curvy SWISS ROADS. :pepper:

Are there any improvments known to the 110ci engine, are there modifications to make it run cooler?

Thanks for all the help on this forum!

Additional pics can be found on this thread: http://www.Motorcycle-USA.com/1583/Motorcycle-Photo-Gallery/2010-Harley-Davidson-CVO-Motorcycles.aspx

I agree that the MoCo could have done a much better job providing details of these premium bikes.

The lowered compression (9.15 vs 9.3) may help a little to reduce operating temperatures.

Additional ride height is likely attributable to the 18" wheel/tire combination. I would not expect much difference in the actual lean angles.

i saw all3 at the show and i bought the taquilla sunrise. it was buy far the best. it looked really orange in doors like the se road glide.
the dash was really cool as it had engine turned figments on it.
the paint was really cool in person. the eagle looked silver to gold leaf in diff angles.
the pinstripe is black.
the new seat was really comfy and i bet i could do some miles in it.
rims were amazing in person.
didnt care 2 much for the painted beer cans but it grew on me.
brakes are black this year wich is strange. i love the brakes from the last 2 years that matched the motor.

Since you saw them in person , does the seat have a backrest or a slot for a backrest for the rider? How does the Spicy Rum one look? Pictures?

seat does have a slot for back rest but doesnt come with one. of course they had one for sale that matched.
as far as the spicy rum it looked really good but i think you are gonna see alot of  cat hair type scatches after awhile.
the one on the floor alrady had them so like black bikes i stay away from that type of stuff.
but out of the colors i would pick that one second for sure.

as for blue i am tired of moco doing blue screamin eagles. pick another color like black for once.

i think a se street glide should be black with flames for sure since its a bike at appeals to the younger crowd.

blue always seems so safe to me when it comes to cvo"s   just my opinion.
also being a bike sales man i can tell you that blue cvo's never sell unless there is no way of getting another color. it is always the last on the floor.

not sure why the moco doesnt listen to the sales guys

You apparently are not aware that the color coat (black, blue, rum, green whatever) is not exposed to the air? The scratches you see are to the clearcoat which totally encapsulates the color coat. Cars, bikes etc have not had single stage color for over 15 years. If you stay away from black because of scratches you are depriving yourself. Clear is what you are taking care of on any Harley, not the color. No harder to take care of white than black. Clear is also where the UV protection is. So buy black or white, they are the same maintenance wise.

not even close.i have been dealing with harley paint for 26 years and in the last 5 years something has happend
to there paint. if you just touch the black clear coat it scratches.
also the orange peal is out of control on harley. i have a se roadglide and the orange peal is insane. its not just my bike.
all the Harley's have really bad orange peal these days i dont understand how they can let that slide.

ditti the peel, no excuse, espcially on a 36k bike....I have heard, powder coat...I started laughing at the sale girl...I said no, chitty paint....I have not grown the stones to try a little 600 grit and lighter fluid to see if it is the clear coat that looks so chitty..

You wouldn't affect the orange peel with sanding the clear coat would you?  That's more than likely the 'flow coat' of color you are seeing the orange peel in I would think.  Let us know how melting the clear coat goes... :2vrolijk_21:...you definitely have grown some conjones.  ;) har!  spyder
