I will have to check the bracket...the locks do not come up as an option on HD website for this bike...They do specify 2008.

/Bill

The mount you'll see is just three holes one above the other that the bolts in to the footboard brackets go through.

If Harley doesn't do a power lock accessory option and you want to pursue it let me know.  The harness I made up ties in to no existing harness so can be added to any bike with hard bags and the old standard saddlebag locks.

Picked up my SESG in blue Thursday.Rolled around the floor at the dealership with a tech trying to figure how to lower the floorboards. No way.Think the out & foreward extensions will help.Felt like I was on a mini bike first time I rode it .Doesn't bother me so much after a couple hundred miles.Could of done better than those POS mirrors.Had a riders backrest with my '04 SEEG why not this one ???Also would expect passenger floorboards instead of pegs on a touring frame bike.Garage door opener $200 installed. If I keep this one 5 years & ride 3-5 times a week 6 months a year That's pretty cheap per open & close.Overall I like the bike.Handles great.Told me to keep it under 50 for 50 miles, but didn't say in what gear.

Got wet riding home on Friday...why wait until it is broken in to christen it...better than snow I guess.

On Sunday I wired the Zumo Power at the same time as the power for the Garage Door Opener (which was still programmed to the receiver  :huepfenjump3: ) and installed the Chrome covers for the mirrors and a couple of other chrome trim pieces.

Added the Heated Gear pigtails.  Found out the bike did come with the siren...ooops.

Wish it had the smart siren II but haven't checked and assume not...

...since this will not be my long distance tourer...it won't be remaining stock for long...watching all the threads of others but I am not sure what I am looking for yet in terms of performance.  I think I would like it to be more of a mid range performer instead of stump-puller or a top speed dragster.

Mine had a siren--it did not have the smart siren II which will also signal the pager.

Bill I can keep your trailer in my garage if it helps you out.

;-)

But seriously, can't you put that and maybe one of the bikes in your trailer for storage?

Nice bike Bill, I got to ride one last weekend at Thunder in the Rockies, HD had their test rides setup, didn't really get to ride, just a 10 mile loop with the HD guys leading us, but the bike rode nice, I could feel the heat on the right leg. This would be my next bike if I could talk Vicki into it!!!!!

It doesn't match the  :cherry:!

Yeah, the Bushtec Trailer is stored in the Thule 8.5x14' Trailer for the winter along with the 1986 Honda Rebel 250...unless that gets traded to my friend (plus some cash) for his 1999 Sea Doo...got a lot of convincing (Anne) to make that happen!  But since she never rides the Rebel...it sounds like a deal!

WhooHoo!

SBB

But that is where I hang the Jeep's Hardtop in the summer normally...

The cardboard box on top of the rightmost wall cabinet is a N.I.B. tank for the SED since I took a rock that not only chipped the tank but dented it.  I put some polish on the ding  but then never installed the new tank for fear it would get dinged...yes, pathetic!

I have also been told that the stock backrest is too (watch it Bill) low for Anne.

Looks like a new seat is in order...maybe I will try a Corbin dual tour with backrests.

Congratulations on you're new bike.It is one beautiful machine. I was trying to get a look at the one Ocean State had, but it had already been sold. I would love to get a peek at it someday before the snow flies. It's a easy ride from the State of Corruption to Taxachusetts. Best of luck. Kevin

kb,

PS: I was over at Minuteman Harley in Dartmouth this past Saturday. They have a Spiced Rum on the floor. It's been there for 2 weeks, no wonder they're asking 4k over MSRP
