The way the factory should have...
« on: December 11, 2005, 05:38:02 PM »

Now it runs the way it should have, the way moco should have done it from the start.  I've had to add felcro to the grips and seat to keep me hanging on.  Here's the list of amenities...I am now broke.

1. Start with one factory spec CVO SE2 Fatboy 8-)

2. Replace all of the factory stock stuff with the list below [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

3. Hang on and remember there's a lot of guys behind tryin to keep up [smiley=banana.gif]

Switched to the 264s after a few beers with the the guys at the dealer.  It was a good idea too.  Pulls like a girl I knew in PI :-*

After a hundred or so miles breakin I'll run the dyno.  For now it's got a load from the race tuner library which was very close, with a few tweeks.  In a few weeks I expect to post the dyno details.  Can't drive too good in the snow.

The sickening part is that every performance part you installed probably didn't cost any more to manufacture than the part it was replacing. God bless the EPA and HD's marketing dept. (Just kidding!!) Can't wait to see the #s.

Fatboy, could the throttle body have been installed by itself, without the engine work-
and what would the result be?

I believe the heads have to be updated to accept the new 50mm throttle body.  There's a different part number head to cover this.  Though you should check with your dealer for what you have.

That is 100% correct, you must change the heads to SE 103+ or SE high torque heads. For two reasons 1. The 50mm TB is has simply two much flow for the stock setup & would probably go worse than the stock TB, as well as not actually being able to bolt up to the stock heads. 2. The other heads I mentioned are machined to except the larger intake manifold to suit the higer compression/higher output engine.

I have a 50mm Zippers Throttle Body on a STOCK SE 103 with just the air cleaner and exhaust change. And it runs like a raped ape for a stocker!!!!!

The SE 50mm manifold maybe different. I have never seen one. So in fact it can be done with no internal mods.

Fatboy can't wait to see the sheet on this one. I would love to see how this combo pans out.

Be Safe

Oh yea, I ripped off those side reflectors to reduce the drag...and on Tuesday I'm going in for a full Dyno tune.
