MKW

So I have this correct. The offset will be present with the V&H header?

See post #68 of this thread.  The V&H and stock headers ultimately line up the same.  The problem comes in with the offset mounting on the Monster Oval.

Thread 77 and 78 of this post shows them installed on an SESG. It appears fine on the right but offset to the left side facing the rear?

I would prefer a pipe centered in the opening equally. Nice looking pipes though.

Keep in mind, the pics of the ones on my bike (#77&#78) are Ovals, not the Monsters.

In a last attempt to clear up any confusion, there are Ovals and Monster Ovals.  If you look at the V&H website you will see them listed as such but the V&H web pictures do not show the major offset of the Monster Ovals.  No such offset on the non-montsers.  Usually pictures say a thousand words but not so much on the V&H website.

Hey, MOblue, failed to mention that the pictures of your ovals look great  :2vrolijk_21:

In a little over three weeks I'll give you the update on exhaust note on the V&H power chamber headers and High Output Slip Ons.  Pics and sound to follow as well  :2vrolijk_21:  Ahh, the sound of a good exhaust always puts a smile on my face  ;D

I was going to go with the V&H Dresser Duals and High Output Slip Ons but have decided to put the V&H Power Chamber headers on instead.  If you could wait until Thanksgiving I'll post pictures of them and YouTube a video with sound.  Pricey exhaust when you factor in the SE Pro Race Tuner and dyno time but that's part of the fun.  ::)

Fuel Moto is offering the same type of head pipe but keeps the stock footprint and used the same chrome shields.  Does anyone see an advantage to one over the other?

Is this a recommended practice?  To wait until after the 1000 mile service before putting on a exhaust system? I am getting my 1000 mile service done this weekend, and I am supposed to get my Freedom Racing Duals this upcoming Wednesday.

not necessarily a recommeded practice, but alot seem to do that. most baby them for 500 miles then give it a kick in the shorts for another 500 just get the feel, then mod it up so you have a baseline to work from.
others, like me, start the mods day one.

Like Larry said, it's just a "window" that some folks do.  I've done my exhaust mods from day one.  On the SEUC, I had a baseline map put in with the SERT and ran it until my 1K service and then had the bike dyno'd.  On the SESG, I had the cans put on when the bike had 200 miles on it (because the new program disc for the SESRT was on backorder) and had a "soft" dyno done just to put a good basemap in it.  There's no set rule, but from my experience, the dealerships that do their own dyno work suggest you wait until at least 500 miles are on the bike to do the full-blown dyno runs.   :nixweiss:  6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

No I just didnt want the dealer to see the maods when I went in after the 1,000 I will do the maintenance myself.

Couldnt wait thought so the Boom Cans are on and man they sound sweet.

The V&H Power Duals do not seem to fit? I say this because the bongs for the O2 sensors appear to be in the 09 configuration and size. there is 2010 paperwork in the box but it references the 2 into 1 pipes.

Maybe they didnt take the SESG into consideration?

interestingly the box had Milwaukee Bagger brochures in it. the install guides however where from BUB???

I am guessing Bub makes them not sure why they didnt market them?

Now I need to find the speaker grill covers for the rear I like the look!!
