Thinking of getting right side only, as left side has heel/toe shifter.

While riding my SESG yesterday it seems the pipes are below the Footboard so it kind of eliminates the need for this item

A saw these floor board extenders on blue SESG that a customer bought a few months before I got my TS SESG. I liked what he did so I ordered the extenstions as well. I find that the boards are closer-in and my feet are half off the edge so the idea of moving 'em out 1" appeals to me.

Hey Windows Son, will the HarleyGoodies extensions help prevent heel melting on pipe or just change the foot position for comfort? Would I still need the Heel Guard?

The extenders just move the footboards away from the frame a bit.  No extra guard between feet and pipes.

I don't have the extenders and am hoping I find them under the Christmas tree though (I left suffiencte hints around the house such as Post-It notes...my wife can't ignore those. On the SESG I did see them out they move your footboards out but you can still touch the exhaust...in my case, though its never a problem since the boards are too close to the bike that I naturally (it has nothing to do with my portly figure) hang half my foot off the edge - so I never smell buring rubber.

With ya, had to look this week while riding and even though I'll be putting on the extenders this weekend, the pipe is below the floor board so this doesn't seem to be needed on my SESG. We'll see if there's enough gap after putting on the extender where my heel might drop through to the pipe when I'm gettin' lazy.
