This was the tag line on the envelope of a CVO brochure that I received in the mail today. The 2010 brochure came with a thank you letter from Bill Davidson, VP, Core Customer Marketing. This was an extremely nice gesture on part of the MoCo and much appreciated.

Just opened mine as well. Too bad it was just a sales brochure instead of a calendar; I'm looking for a calendar for the wall in my office, not a new bike.

Strange how the CVO folks didn't appreciate me back in '05, '06, '07, '08, and '09, but somehow they appreciate the hell right out of me in 2010.

Got mine today.... well I should say one came for my wife today. Funny thing is she's never bought a bike, doesn't have a motorcycle endorsement, and usually doesn't buy anything from MoCo other then the occasional item(s) for me when I can't think of anything else I want for a gift.

Oh well I got it and it was a nice gesture... but MoCo if you're listening... I like chrome.

Had no idea it was coming... it showed up out of the blue... wasn't requested or something I knew about beforehand.

I got the same letter and 2010 CVO brochure. I thought it was a little strange since I still have my 2006 CVO and just got a 2009 CVO two months ago.
I think a CVO calendar is a great idea, maybe if the MOCO doesn't do one , the site members could do one for a charity or to support the website with it's profits?

An Orange bike GTG might be easier to photograph though, they're slower.

Far be it from me to stir up chit, but perhaps the MoCo knows something about who controls the purse strings in certain households.

After all, the purpose of the letter and brochure is to sell stuff, not to thank you for that money you gave them previously.

Tonight I received this nice big envelope from Harley touting the CVO's. Inside was a real nice letter thanking me for owning a CVO and in appreciation, sending me the 2010 CVO Brochure. WTF? I've had one of those since before the bikes were in the dealers. Are there that many CVO's sitting on the floors that they would have to spend the money on these packages? Maybe they just found a huge oversupply of brochures laying around and someone came up with the brilliant idea that they could send one to each CVO owner at this late date. Sorry folks, but I just found this to be a really stupid mailer. I assume that many of us received these.

One more "sorry" here. I just noticed the next thread here was about this same subject. Oops!

I thought they were trying to cut costs? What's up with the mailings of sales stuff? I'll bet they sent out hundreds if not thousands, every penny adds up.

Got mine yesterday. My first thought was this is a bit late in the sales year. This would have had more impact to receive the same day as the sales meetings in July. As far as why some may not have received it, when you set up your profile on HD HOG, they ask you if you have plans to buy another motorcycle in the next year, etc. This might have determined the mailing list.

Harley's agency is Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis. They've worked with Harley since the early '80s. Consistently the best copy writing in the world. I owned an advertising/PR agency and can tell you great work like this is rare indeed.

I made that mistake when I first got back into riding and used my home phone number for a contact number at the Harley shop.... they called and left a message about some parts I ordered.

I changed the contact info real quick.
