I am buying 2011 SESG, i am torn between the gunstock and the green. I think the gunstock looks very rich but the green junps out at you. Just wondering what most of you would buy. I have not seen any of them in person.
I understand that they have a problem with the green and might drop from the line. Also doyouthink they will still offer the SG next year.

I have a '10 Spiced Rum. After seeing the orange/black in person, there's no doubt in my mind that I'd order the Kryptonite (green) if buying an '11.

You cannot order a Kryptonite bike.  The MOCO will not take any orders for them.  The only way you can get one is "IF" a dealer has one on order, from Phase 1, that he did not change the color on.....and it is not spoken for (highly unlikely)  Go back and look at the thread "Any Kryptonite bikes yet"?

I have the Autumn Haze/ Antique Gunstock and am really pleased with the color. I had the option to order any color I wanted and choose that one because my previous bike was black.  I did not want any black on my next bike at all.  It never really shows any dirt/dust and the paint is flawless.  As you said the color does not pop out, but it does draw plenty of attention.  The color is classic and deep.  I have no regrets about the color i choose at all.  Good luck with your choice.

Mine is a 2010 so in regards to the 2011 colors......unbiased.  But if I had it to do again, I'm pretty sure that I'd be going with the black and orange.  I think the other colors will fade in time......kind of like the 03 silver and black.....just don't do it for anybody any more. 

By the way, come to think of it, they produced the black and silver for 15 months......what happened to all those bikes?  Not that I miss them.

If you are referring to me, I do not have it yet, NO ONE HAS A KRYPTONITE BIKE YET, They have not been made yet!  They will not arrive until February.  MAYBE, a few may sneak in, in January, but it is unlikely!

The color is too personal of a choice for anyone to make it for you.  Personally, I didn't want anything other than the Black Diamond, but that is my personal choice and I love it.  If the Kryptonite is what floats your boat, it doesn't matter if everyone else hates or loves it, it is all about what makes you smile when you throw a leg over.  Go for exactly what YOU want, it's a lot of money to not be absolutely pleased with your decision.  Good luck.

I wouldn't decide on any color for a bike and especially a CVO bike from a picture, I would have to see it in person. I had a chance to buy a 2010SEUC in Blue/gray before it was put in the showroom. From the HD website I thought I would love it enough to buy, but didn't jerk my chain. I told salesman I was going to find and buy a 09 in Stardust Silver/Sapphire Blue. It was good for me but not great. Buy what YOU love. Most all of the colors and graphics look way better in person.

I am with WillyB on this one. The green/black looks great just not a fan of the blacked out motor. I was not so sure about my autumn haze in pic's but when I saw it in person I was sold, by far MY favorite color combo, not to mention the paint is flawless, I have gone over every inch!! In the end it will be YOUR choice, no bad color's, just different one's

I got rid of an 09 Streetbob and an 09 CVO Fatbob because I HATED the color of the motors! Different strokes for different folks!

Will not go as far to say I don't like "any" CVO due to the grey/satin motor but if I had my choice I'd prefer a black motor and do like the Kryptonite because it has one.

It's not to late.
I can go by the hardware store Monday and get you a can of Krylon flat black.
While your at it, you can do those chrome hinges also!

That's one somebody has photo-chopped and colored the pipes black... BTW... that does look bad @$$ that way!!!

That "is" a photo-shopped picture!  I had it done so I could see what "I" wanted to do to the bike before I actually did it. I want to black the bike out, so that is a start for what I plan on doing.

Slotbike, any idea what treatment/process the blacked out parts go through? Do you think the Black coating lasts? I know they did this motor color on last years Ultra Classic CVO as well.

Yup, no problem on this one  The "blacked out" parts will be powder coated, which is exactly what Harley (and everyone else) does on any of their black parts.  As far as the heat shields and mufflers, I am going to have them ceramic coated, which is a stronger, higher temp rated coating.  A lot of powder coater's do ceramic coating.  I intend on doing a fullsac header pipe and their largest baffles and ceramic coating the mufflers and heat shields Gloss black to match the gloss black powder coated engine parts.  Should look good!

My shop says they can do it.....we'll see! Satin or Matte is fine also but, I am going to do the gloss and see.  Worst case scenario is it has to be redone.  For $100.00, it is a fraction of the cost of an exhaust system.

+1 on that. I feel the glossy black will be very vulnerable to scratches. Plus, personally I dont think I can look at that green for long.

You don't really think that I (or anyone else for that matter) on this forum really cares what you personally think of another members bike color, OR DO YOU?  I haven't seen anyone here telling you that the color of your bike is gross and disgusting, have you? I happen to think your bike color is awesome.......I just want a green one!  I have bought 6 Harley's between the 09 and 10 model years alone and only get what "I" like.  I could care less what someone else likes.  I take great offense to your comments and think anyone else, regardless of the color of their bike, should also. Just "my" 2 cents worth! (AND HERE IS A PIC OF WHAT "MY" BIKE IS GONNA LOOK LIKE!) BTW, I was at the Harley Dealer Show in July (and will be there in February too) and sat on every CVO Streetglide, all colors! They are all nice.....I just want the Green one!

If you mean the motor, I guess it was just because someone decided to do something different on the Krypto/Green model.....just to differentiate it from the rest.  If you are talking about the picture that I posted, it is a photoshopped picture of what I plan on doing to mine when I get it.

If you're offended that much by Rogzy's honest opinion on the green, then I'm glad you didn't order the CVO Road Glide in Frosted Ivory/Vintage Gold...they've really been having a field day with that one!  They've called it everything from turd-glide to less "offensive" things.  No one over there has blown a gasket...

For me, I love black and orange but I wish the 2011 O/B SESG had the colors reversed with the black on the bottom...like the green one.  I like the black motor but I also like the CVO grey.  The only ones I don't like very much are the natural finish ones...they tend to stain easily.

I'm sure that somebody on here will trade you.  I was able to trade the contrast (black & chrome) wheels off of my blue SESG for a set of the all chrome blade wheels off of an 09 black and silver SERG and we're both happy (and both bikes look better).

By the way....back on topic.....just to add a little thought to this thread......   the best color for the SESG is the blue!   Unfortunately, for all of you that don't have one, it's no longer available!

Way to go JCZ...I wasn't too impressed with the blue on the 10s but when I saw one in person...WOW!!!!!  It became my favorite

Very true JCZ. I was planning on an '10 SESG but wasn't ready with the cash. Blue is indeed a very nice color but would be even look better if them wheels where mirror chrome.

I did not mean to start a firestorm ,was just wondering other folks thoughts on color.I ordered the gunstock color thought the green was great but do not know when they will be released again. Very sporty looking like the orange ones. Not much to choose from for that price tag. sorry to cause such a fuss. I will think before I post again.
