HARLEY-DAVIDSON PROTOTYPE XR1200 DEBUTS

Cologne, Germany (October 10, 2006) - Harley-Davidson revealed a prototype Sportster XR 1200 motorcycle aimed at the European market today at the INTERMOT International Motorcycle Show in Cologne, Germany. The XR 1200 prototype places an emphasis on performance and handling with styling inspired by the Motor Company

What do you figure the MSRP will be?  That might be a fun run around town bike, especially all blacked out.

Looks like their going after a younger group, to get them branded on HD and then the step up to a road bike later in life.   Smart, very smart.

I watched the video and that thing handles like hell.The guy that helped the handling development says he has ridden sports bikes all his life and this should be able to keep up with most of them.Well 90 hp is very good for a sporty. I also can see the return of the cafe racers.Lotsa people will be customising them imho.The rear end is there just add a nightrod fairing and voila a new craze of cafe racers lol. [smiley=drink.gif]

if it comes over here at under $10K it'll go
They already have the technology ( on Buell ) so it's not like re-inventing the wheel
I wonder if the wife would complain about buying a 2007 CVO Springer and a 2008 Sportster??
