Ditto on Fullsac... Get their Stage 1 Sleeper Kit. Or even better, add the Stage 2 Sleeper Kit that adds Andrews 54H cams to replace the stock SE 255 cams to further reduce heat, improve engine breathing, and make more power.

Stage 1: http://fullsac.com/sleeper-kit-110.html

Stage 2: http://fullsac.com/sleeper-kit-110-stage2.html

If you search, there are TONS of threads here about heat and what to do about it... but Fullsac is used by lots of folks here with great results.

Removing the cat convertor alone will drastically reduce heat

Removing the cat convertor alone will drastically reduce heat

You also need to retune for optimum heat reduction since the bikes run very lean from the factory...

And oh yeah--ANOTHER VOTE FOR FULLSAC!!!

I went with the Jackpot.  It's available with a ceramic coating, it's made of stainless steel, and it's got a lifetime warranty.  And on top of that, their customer service is fantastic.

Fullsac is tried and true by a lot of folks here on the site, and the owner of the company is a member here, so we get a discount.  I've never heard of a complaint about customer service or the product quality.

If you install them yourself, total cost will be <$1100, which includes the X pipe (also ceramic coated), the cores for the mufflers, and the TTS Mastertune with a map that will in all probability be the only "tune" you'll need.  You use the stock heat shields and the bike looks stock.  If you own a few basic tools and a laptop computer, it's pretty much a no-brainer installation, if you have basic mechanical skills.

There are other good options, but every one of them will cost you more $$$ and time.

I went with a blend Jackpot header and Powervision with Fullsac2.0 cores. The tune from Jamie at Fuel Moto was spot on and the install was easy. The quality of all products was top notch. The Jackpot header was a piece of artwork and a model for first class welds.

I hope GRC don't read this.  Lol.   I would give Steve at fullsac a call.  He will help you with any question you should have including sound you may be looking for.  He is very cool to talk to wont talk over your head.  And customer service is excellent.

Fullsac if you want good performance, price, product and service.  If you want LOUD, look at Drago's Dragula or D&D Fatcat, they are 2 into 1 pipes.  For a tuning product, TTS from Steve George (Fullsac) and he will furnish a map.   Then, if you ever want the ECM fine tuned on a dyno, find a good dyno tech like Doc in Florida, Steve George in Arizona or Robin at Gail's HD in Kansas City.

I went with the Fuel Moto's Jackpot head pipe route on my wife's TriGlide and my FLHTCUSE8.  Also purchased the Power Vision from Fuel Moto and upgraded it through Dynojet with a second license so I can tune both bikes with same PV.  Jamie at Fuel Moto will supply all maps free when requested if you purchase from him.  His tunes were wonderful and we are both very pleased with our decision.  We also kept our stock pipes on and actually my wifes bike is much louder than mine but im done with loud now days.  And without the cat my bike is louder and deeper and perfect for my ears.  Im sure Fullsac is wonderful also, just telling my story.   :beerchug:
