Video:  News-Sport bikes speeding in N. GA mt
« on: November 05, 2006, 09:29:28 PM »

These are the video links to a two-part news story out of Atlanta about the problems of sport bikes hauling a$$ in the N. Georgia mountains.  They clock one guy at 153 MPH, through roads pretty much like the Dragon.  Pretty amazing video collected by a news team just riding around for two days.

 Part one:

Part one appears to be down, but part two still works--at this moment, anyway.  News video on the web often expires after some given time..  The Geraldo thing was a brief commercial--you had to sit through that to get to the news report.

I just saw both parts. It worked Ok. You have to wait after Geraldo, then the story loads up. They should just get all the cages off that road and nobody but themselves will need to worry about the accidents. Like Clint said "a man's got to know his limitations". Cool road, but not as cool as Dragon's Tail! Hoist!

I thought you were just making fun of Heraldo......just like everybody else does. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]  It's amazing that that guy is still on TV.

Both part 1 and part 2 begin with a bit of a commercial for their news program, but they're both working.

Suicidal to ride (or cross) a double yellow or a solid yellow in your lane, on a blind hill or curve.  Like the ol' sayin goes.......never ride faster than your angels can fly.

Thought the 2 stories where good, suprisingly long for the news.  They made a point of saying sport bike and not just motorcycle period.

The last installment of "Superbikes" had a section on the sport bike riders in Atlanta , primarily focusing on an intown club who boasted "you can't ride with us unless you can do 180mph for at least 30 miles " (on the perimeter freeway)  . One has to question the limited mental capacity of the group for going on a national program and bragging about it, they showed them zinging in and out of cars on the freeway at hyperspeed.

Luckily the local cops don't lump HD riders in with these crazies .
