Extended Warrentee
« on: December 29, 2013, 02:01:24 AM »

I am looking for the best deal I can get on an exteneded warantee on a new 2014 Ultra Limited with Tire & Wheel coverage.  I think I'm going to but that model.
If anyone know the MSRP's of the different years and where to get the best discount and could post it, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Lance

What you're looking for is the ESP (it's a service contract, not a warranty).  As mentioned in the previous post, call Jim Palmer at Kutter H-D in Wisconsin.  Over the past couple years he seems to be the most recommended source for discounted ESP's.

btw, I haven't seen the most recent MSRP price list anywhere, but I can attach the previous one so you can get an idea.  I thought I heard somewhere that the prices recently went up by about a hundred bucks.

Jerry,

What mods (if any) void those contracts?

The wrong air pressure in your tires would probably void it the way the adjusters are nowadays. ::)

I am putting my $2000.00 in the bank and hopefully that will cover anything that goes wrong. I can't stand looking at every little mod and worrying about what I will have to do to get it back to stock form if a claim arises. If you are going to leave the bike bone stock go ahead,
but if you plan on any mods beware!

Everytime I start leaning towards buying one, I look back at anything I can find and quicky change my mind. Works great when someone blows a motor......if they don't disallow the claim. Changing everything back to stock setup is worth it for a large warranty claim, not so much just to get a little help on a repair bill.

ESP is really a waste of money if you plan on changing anything. If you run stone stock it can be a good deal. Exhaust, tune, any performance work at all and esp will void coverage.

ESP has changed dramatically in refusing claims, they used to be pretty good, but now if you do any mods, they are probably going to deny your claim.

I cancelled the ESP on the '09 SERG (had to mod it, to get out of its own way, and handle decently), but I'm still wearing 'em out on the bone stock '05 SEEG :pepper:
