Do you use a leather preservative? I didn't see anything about care in the manual that came with my bike.

I bought the leather care stuff (technical term!) from HD but have never applied it to the seat. Still looks like it did when I got the bike.

Odds are, assuming Harley hasn't changed the way they do the CVO seats, that only the inserts are real leather and the side panels are embossed vinyl.  I seriously doubt they would sell a 100% real leather seat for $300 (MSRP for the rider seat in the catalog).

Jerry is right about the seat panel being leather and the sides being vinyl.  Be careful about what products you use on the leather and make sure you don't over do it.  It's not the leather that you have to worry about, it's the stitching thread/cord that can be compromised by some leather care products.  I use Kiwi Saddle Soap periodically to clean followed by Kiwi Mink Oil sparingly as a conditioner.  There are many good products out there, just make sure you don't over use them.

I don't use any products with mine-the stiching is weak enough as it is-a damp rag is all I use.

Nice bike ya got!  Is your windshield made by harley?  The curvature looks a little different.

When I nail it and hit 3rd gear and the front wheel comes off the ground and I chit myself it sounds like leather!!!!! :bananarock:
