I have read all over about not lowering this CVO cause it will effect the ride...ok, so if I am 5'3 how do I stop my boots from dangling ? I need to lower this baby some how, or grow up! Seat? any ideas greatly appreciated

I would suggest some type of air ride suspension... something you can lower bike to when needed (stopped, walking bike around) then have full suspension when riding. Shortening the suspension (lowering the bike) might give you a harsh(er) ride. Another seat might also help, but (IMO) your best solution is air ride suspension.

the rear is already lowered, if you go any more you risk doing some damage. next thing is the seat, either rework the stock one (still a sucky stock seat), or get a custom one. Corbin makes one they call a Close seat that brings you lower and closer. my wife (5'3") has one on her Softail . flat footed.

Traxxion Dynamics will make thier ATK-20 in 1" drop , Racetech with the emulators has one too.
Either would be worth considering as they are a good upgrade to the stock front suspension .

I would recomend adding the air pressure gauge if going with rear air shocks otherwise you are always adjusting and guessing where to be. They use to come with one then not and now you pay extra for one.

And you can get them in BLUE to match your bike from Dakota Digital ;D

Fat Baggers has a bolt on kit that basically lowers the seat about 3". You get the seat, some frame members, and two new side covers. Unfortunately, you have to get the side covers painted to match, which may be hard with the gold leafing of the SESGs... :nixweiss: Look in any of recent American Iron mags for their ad or go to their website: Fat Baggers 3" drop seat conversion kit (http://store.fatbaggers.com/20drseco.html=).

As stated previously the SESG's are already lowered and it is not recommended to lower it any further.
However, you can always put Progressive Springs in the front that lowers the front end and it really does make a difference in getting your feet closer to the ground.

Go with a seat that is more narrow in the front. Your legs will not be as spread out which will let your feet touch the ground better and you won't compromise handling or ground clearance.
