Anyone paint the inner fairing ?
« on: October 31, 2009, 11:41:06 PM »

Hi all, sounds like a good winter project, has anyone matched the "spiced rum" paint color yet?
from what I've heard the cvo paint codes are top secret? but of course that was before the
internet was invented ............. Happy Halloween

My inner is at a custom paint shop right now matching the Concord blue...I am anxious to see how it comes out. Read this thread for some names of shops and some useful info. http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=42527.0

And yes..the paint codes are top secret.

yes all 3 of the sesg models have gloss black inner fairings, actually think the plan was to match the wheels, but it sure made it alot easier for the moco . go figure

For what its worth (not much) I like the black inner fairing on the TS.  A color matched one would be a little to much for me.  Again, just my thoughts  ;)

The TS inner would be bright for sure, but I think making mine blue is going to work for me.

Same here...I think the black inner fairing on the spiced rum adds to the "sinister" look of that color...

mjb765,
I agree, your blue SESG would look great with a matching inner fairing.  As mentioned, I like the black with the TS but I am going to upgrade the speakers to the Hawg-Wired DX 504-70 which have the red-orange cone.  I'm using the black steel mesh speaker grill which should show off that red-orange cone and accent the overall look of the Tequila Sunrise bike.  Pictures will follow in a few weeks  8)

I also thought that  the inner fairing would be colour matched . Black is standard and cheap .
I am happy that they did the colour matched at the 09 SERG , black would not be such nice.

Did you stay with the street Glide fairing or did you switch to an electra glide fairing?  Did you stay with stock bars?
